About UUID Generator
Create universally unique identifiers using your browser's cryptographically secure random generator. Version 4 is fully random; version 7 starts with a timestamp, so values sort by creation time — ideal for database primary keys.

Frequently asked questions
UUID v4 or v7?
Use v7 for database keys because it is time-ordered and indexes well. Use v4 when you do not want to reveal creation time.
Can two UUIDs collide?
Practically no. A v4 UUID has 122 random bits; you would need billions per second for decades to expect a collision.
